Alpaca fiber of the Andes

Some important information about Alpaca:

Our products are made from Alpaca fleece.
Alpacas are native to Peru living 4-5,000 meters above sea-level in the Andes mountains. Alpaca fleece is known as the GOLD OF THE ANDES.

The alpacas are the most numerous of the South American camelids, with a population of approximately 3.5 million in  Peru (about 75% of the world total).

The alpaca, in its two breeds, the Suri and the Huacaya, is the source of a beautiful fiber. It’s texture is finer than cashmere and smoother than silk. It is also extremely warm, making it one of the finest fibers in the world.

This unique fiber also offers the largest range of natural colours in the world, which vary from black to white, and extend through an ample range of greys and browns.

Each quality is designed to create different products such as cloth, scarves, stoles, sweaters, blankets, carpets and so on.
